BizReply ("we," "us," or "our") is a business communication platform operated by Sisu Ventures LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website at bizreply.org.
By using BizReply, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.
The short version: We collect only what we need to run the service, we never sell your data, and you can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
Information We Collect
Account Information
- Name and email address (used to create and manage your account)
- Password (stored as a one-way bcrypt hash — we cannot read it)
- Business name and phone number
- Billing address and payment information (processed by Stripe — we never store raw card numbers)
Usage Data
- SMS messages sent and received through your BizReply number
- Appointment records and customer contact information you enter
- Auto-reply rules, keywords, and business hours you configure
- App usage analytics (e.g., which FAQ questions are viewed most)
- Device type, operating system, and IP address for security purposes
Customer Data
When your customers text your BizReply number, their phone numbers and message content are stored so BizReply can deliver automated replies and booking confirmations on your behalf. You are the data controller for your customers' information.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the BizReply service
- To send SMS messages and booking confirmations on your behalf via Twilio
- To process subscription payments via Stripe
- To send you service-related notifications (downtime, billing, security alerts)
- To respond to support requests sent to support@bizreply.app
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with data brokers.
Third-Party Services
BizReply integrates with the following third-party services to deliver core functionality:
- Twilio — SMS delivery, voice call handling, and phone number provisioning. Twilio processes message content and phone numbers. See Twilio's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe — Subscription billing and payment processing. Stripe stores your payment method securely. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Cloud infrastructure and file storage (S3). Data is stored in encrypted US-based servers.
- Google Maps / Apple Maps — Used to open appointment addresses in your device's map app. No data is sent to mapping services without your action.
Data Security
We take security seriously and implement industry-standard protections:
- All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with a unique salt per user
- Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant)
- Database access is restricted to authenticated server processes only
- Session tokens are stored in secure, HTTP-only cookies
While we implement strong safeguards, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — Update inaccurate or incomplete information in your account settings
- Deletion — Delete your account and all associated data from the app (More → Legal & Privacy → Delete Account) or by emailing support@bizreply.app
- Portability — Export your contacts, appointments, and message history from the app at any time
- Opt-out — Unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in any email we send
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is sold or disclosed. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies
BizReply uses minimal cookies:
- Session cookie — Keeps you logged in. Expires when you log out or after 30 days of inactivity.
- Preference cookie — Stores your light/dark mode preference.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
Children's Privacy
BizReply is designed for business owners and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at support@bizreply.app.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app notification. Continued use of BizReply after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
